More and more, organizations are becoming aware of the need to better manage their electronic information and that a lack of a disciplined approach can affect the way they do business, their ability to respond to a disaster or comply with legislation. This course provides managers and information management (IM) practitioners an overview of how to asses the state of an organization’s IM program; for example, how well they are managing their information assets, where they are at risk, whether their staff have the required level of competency in order to fulfill their IM duties, and if IM technology tools are being used effectively.
At the end of the course, students will be able to: understand three common different types IM analyses projects namely: IM assessment, EIM readiness assessment, and post-implementation EIM evaluation; understand when you would use each, and a high-level approach to conduct each IM analysis

"Invaluable! I hadn't expected that course would be so valuable but now I am going to write up at least two proposals for IM assessment for my company"
"The group discussions were excellent. I appreciate that Janet adjusted the group exercises to suit the pace of the class. A lot of good, practical information."
