Digital Migration and Disposition Lead Description: As a member of the DIME project team, you will lead and deliver client engagements, content migration and disposition planning and execution activities to ensure objectives, milestones and timelines are well understood and mutually agreed to. You will lead troubleshooting and resolution of any issues encountered during migration and continuously review, assess and implement improvements to migration processes and tools.
Requirements: Master’s degree in information management, library sciences, or records and archives management, or related field, and a minimum of five years of recent relevant work experience in any combination of information management, information technology services, web services, reference and research services, electronic/data resources, or client needs analysis
Compensation & Benefits: Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $82,300 to $96,000.
Metadata and Information Architecture Librarian / Library Technician Description:
K&IS is searching for two metadata & IA librarians, or library technicians to support upcoming project work:
Policy Standards and Processes Team
- Reporting to the Manager of Policy, Standards and Processes in the IM Service Centre, you will lead two high profile projects: Digital Information Management Evolution (DIME) and SharePoint Transformation. You will lead, develop and implement metadata standards, formats and application profiles for the SharePoint document management system (known internally as Collaboration Centrale).
Information Resources and Tools Team
- Reporting to the Manager of Information Resources and Tools within the Bank of Canada library, you will focus on cataloguing data resources. You will lead and implement a metadata standard for the Bank’s data resources to ensure complete and accurate descriptions.
Master’s degree in information management, library sciences, or records and archives management, or related field and minimum of five years of recent relevant work experience in libraries, information management, data management, or web services OR
a library technician college diploma and a minimum of six years of recent relevant work experience in libraries, information management, data management, or web services OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
