About the session: Properly integrating digital processes into our work-streams includes fleshing out new IM policies to deal with emergent challenges.
Because your solutions are new to everyone, the IM rules you introduce are often viewed with suspicion. Even when they are required for bona fide technological, operational, or even ethical reasons, people often resent them, suspecting that they are overkill based on fear and conservatism. That resentment shows up as complaints, resistance or outright non-compliance. The solution? Tie your policies back to your organization's values. The session shows you how.
About the speaker: Lewis S Eisen, JD, CIP, CVP is the author of the international bestseller How to Write Rules that People Want to Follow: A guide to drafting respectful policies and directives. He combines his experience practising law with 20 years of business consulting and 12 years experience in RIM in the federal government. Lewis runs workshops showing people how shift the policy writing culture of their organizations from confrontational to cooperative, and was the 2020 recipient of ARMA International's Britt Literary Award.
